So, evidently my boy, Jeff Gordon, has been listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers a little too much these days. How else can you explain the fact that he led a total of 173 of 334 laps but then hits the wall coming off of Turn 4? That's just wrong man! But, I also knew not to get my hopes up because his car was so strong in the beginning of the race, that, at one point, he had a 4 second lead over the rest of the field. Of course, that's when NASCAR decided to throw a caution for "debris." Yeah, right! We never saw a piece of debris on the track and like FOX Sports said yesterday, "When there's a debris caution and we can find it, we'll show you the debris." Well, I never saw it, therefore I don't believe it!
In the end, my boy finished in 4th place yesterday. Which is a lot more than I can say about April's boy, Kyle Busch. You'll have to check out her
blog to read about Kyle's drama yesterday. All in all, my boy is having a great season so far, having finished 2nd 3 times and hasn't finished any worse than 12th in the 7 races that have been run so far this season...and he still has the points lead! Jeff Burton ended up passing Matt Kenseth on the last lap to win the race! It was a very exciting ending and since I knew that my Jeff wasn't going to win, I was happy to see the other Jeff win.
